I really must start praying that my children form a good work ethic. And how do I know? Because this is the conversation I just had with my darling 7 year old:
Her: "Hey mom, I need $9 to pay for the new game I want."
Me: "Well, it won't be long if you save your money."
Her: "Yeah, but how can I get some money."
Me: "Well, if you keep losing teeth like you have lately it won't take long at all!!"
Her: "Or I could do some chores."
Me: "(with great rejoicing!) AWESOME!! I would love to pay you for doing some chores!"
Her: "Na...I think I'll just wait for the teeth!!"
